Justice Connect’s acclaimed Innovation and Engagement team undertake some of the most cutting-edge work at the intersection of justice, communications and technology. The multidisciplinary team work on award-winning projects that aim to scale Justice Connect’s reach and impact and improve the experience of people seeking legal help and the lawyers that help them. We aim to improve service efficiency by building service provision and consumer facing tools, allowing us to extend our reach to a growing cohort of people and not-for-profit organisations needing legal help.  

Our deep understanding of legal help consumers combined with our leading expertise in the law, research, design, communications, digital outreach, and product development, ensure our projects are designed to meet the communities needs and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Important role information

The position reports to Strategy and Sustainability Lead. 

Employment is being offered full time or part-time (22.5 to 37.5 hours per week) fixed term for an initial 12 months subject to funding. 

The salary for this role is $76,238.75 per annum (pro-rata) (plus 11% superannuation) with annual leave loading and generous salary packaging options.  

This role can be based at our Melbourne office on level 5, 446 Collins St or our Sydney office on level 5, 175 Liverpool Street, Sydney NSW 2000 with hybrid working arrangements.  

About the role

You are organised, strategic, and will thrive in a collaborative environment where you can bring your expertise in business development and relationship management to complement the talented Innovation Team at Justice Connect.

You’ll bring experience in the following areas:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a business development role.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing or law.
  • The ability to communicate and work with a diverse team in an inclusive and meaningful way.
  • The ability to think critically and creatively to find novel solutions.
  • Experience in identifying and supporting pitches to potential customers and funders.

Candidates will need to demonstrate commitment to Justice Connect’s vision, strategy and values.

What you will achieve in the role

In this role, you’ll work to:

  • Identify and engage with potential users of Justice Connect’s suite of digital products.
  • Manage the lead pipeline and track progress against strategy for each product.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the sustainability strategy for Justice Connect’s innovation work.
  • Support the Strategy and Sustainability Lead with identification of and application for funding and grant opportunities for digital innovation work.

A week in this role

If you were here last week, you would have:

  • Liaised with current and potential users of Justice Connect’s digital products.
  • Developed funding opportunities including identifying opportunities, writing pitches and building grant applications.
  • Managed the current pipeline and stakeholders.
  • Reported back on sustainability work.
